While we will provide service daily, Monday through Sunday, our operating hours will vary.

5. How early can I book an appointment?
As the saying goes, the early bird, gets the worm! So, we recommend that you make your appointment and deposit as soon as possible in order to secure your first choice.
6. Do you accept walk-ins?
While we accept walk-ins, it is best to schedule an appointment to ensure we are able to service you. We encourage you to make an appointment or call before coming to gauge the estimated waiting period for walk-ins.

7. Can I schedule an appointment over the phone?
Yes. However, we offer online booking for your convenience. Click here to book directly online.

8. Does Visions Braid Bar provide the hair needed for services?
Most of our services include braiding hair. To the extent your service requires specialized hair, we can provide it so long as the appointment is scheduled early enough for us to bring the hair to the island.

9. Do you provide colorful hair colors and is there an extra fee?
We provide a range of hair colors at no additional cost. Click here for available colors.

10. How do I get ready for an appointment?
For hairstyles that require extensions (braids, twists, crochets), we offer take-down and shampoo services for an additional fee. If you plan to prep your hair at home, please ensure that your hair is properly washed, detangled and dried no earlier than 24 hours before your appointment. If your hair is not washed or fully dried, there will be an additional fee of $50 added to the service cost to cover the shampoo and blow dry service.

11. How do I reschedule or cancel an appointment?
Appointments can be rescheduled within 48 hours of the scheduled time, and your deposit will be applied to your new appointment. In all other cases (including cancellations), you will forfeit the non-refundable $65 deposit.

Please note that the $65 deposit will be forfeited if you cancel your appointment with less than a 48-hour notice.

12. What happens if I'm late for my appointment?
If you arrive to your appointment more than 30 minutes late, we reserve the right to reschedule or cancel your appointment.
13. Do you service children?
We love our young Visionaries, and service children over the age of 5.
14. Should I trim my hair before a braided style?
We do no recommend that your trim your hair before a braiding service as the blunt ends will spike out of your braids and will result in the stylist having to trim the ends to make the braids look clean and neat.

15. How long does it take to complete braids, weaves and locs?
Because haircare is an art and not a science, it is difficult to provide exact times. Service times vary based on the desired style and length and thickness of your natural hair. If you have time constraints, let us know prior to making your appointment so we may properly advise you.

16. How long do cornrows, braids and twists last?
It depends on whether you have added extensions or not as well as how you maintain the style after you leave the salon. Styles without extensions can usually last two to four weeks, with proper care. Styles with extensions can last up to two months, with proper care -- we do not recommend that you keep them much longer than this!

17. Can I wash my cornrows or braids?
Yes, you may. However, we do not suggest that you do so frequently as this will affect the style's longevity. Typically, you should not need to wash your braids more than once per week. However, if you swim with them, you should wash them the same day to remove chlorine and salt water.

18. Can I swim with my cornrows or braids?
Absolutely! However, remember to wash your hair the same day to remove chlorine and salt water.

19. What happens if I keep my braids in too long?
If you keep your braids in for too long, your natural hair (new growth) will lock and this may result in breakage.

20. Do you provide a braid removal or take down service?
Yes, the timing and pricing will vary based on the style being removed as well as the fullness and length of your hair.
